Terms & Conditions
1. Definitions
- “Company” refers to Hopgood Joinery.
- “Client” refers to the individual or entity commissioning work from Hopgood Joinery.
- “Products” refers to all items manufactured, installed, or supplied by the Company.
2. Quotations and Acceptance
- All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
- A quotation acceptance is required in writing to commence any work.
- Any changes to the agreed specifications may incur additional charges.
3. Payment Terms
- A deposit covering the cost of materials is required upon acceptance of the quotation.
- Final payment is due within 7 days of project completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Late payments may be subject to interest at a rate of 10% per month and may result in delays to subsequent work.
4. Materials and Timber Movement
- Natural timber is subject to movement due to environmental conditions such as humidity and temperature changes.
- The Company is not responsible for such natural movement.
- Clients are advised to maintain consistent environmental conditions to minimize timber movement.
5. Maintenance of Products
- It is the Client’s responsibility to maintain all joinery products supplied by the Company.
- The Company is not liable for any defects or damages resulting from improper maintenance, neglect, or exposure to extreme conditions
6. Product Warranty
- All products are guaranteed against manufacturing defects for 12 months from the date of delivery or installation.
- The warranty does not cover natural wear and tear, misuse, or failure to adhere to maintenance guidelines.
7. Delivery and Installation
- Delivery and installation dates are estimates and may be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.
- The Company is not liable for delays caused by external factors, such as supplier issues or adverse weather.
8. Client Responsibilities
- The Client must ensure access to the site for delivery and installation.
- The Client is responsible for providing accurate measurements and specifications. The Company is not liable for errors arising from inaccurate information supplied by the Client.
9. Limitations of Liability
- The Company’s liability is limited to the value of the contract. The Company is not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
- The Company shall not be held responsible for damage or delays caused by third parties, acts of nature, or force majeure events.
10. Cancellations and Refunds
- Cancellations must be submitted in writing. Any costs incurred by the Company up to the point of cancellation will be charged to the Client.
- Refunds are only provided in cases where manufacturing defects are identified and cannot be resolved through repair or replacement.
11. Ownership of Goods
- All goods remain the property of the Company until full payment has been received.
- The Company reserves the right to reclaim goods if payment terms are not met.
12. Governing Law
- These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England, United Kingdom.
- Any disputes shall be resolved under the jurisdiction of the courts of England, United Kingdom.
